BACKGROUND
Katie de Klee is a freelance editor and writer based in South Africa. Her editorial works are as varied in pitch as breadth, covering people, brands, places. If there is a theme to her work, it is creativity, design and innovation.
THE BRIEF
Katie wanted a website to present her articles. The articles needed to be segmented logically. Design wise we wanted simplicity, yet we needed to communicate Katie’s vibe: vibrant colours, bold fonts and highlight strokes. Users should be able to explore and browse articles easily, as well as direct search. Since Katie covers such a variety of work, tags allow for cross linking articles in different categories.
THE SOLUTION
Designed and built in Wordpress with custom css. Relationship build between articles, categories, clients, tags. Backend CMS for Katie to write, edit, and manage her article styles, providing a functionality to promote a particular article to feature on the home page.
